Panko Tofu Recipe
*Please use all organic ingredients if possible
1 package extra firm tofu, pressed and cut into slabs
*Tips for pressing tofu here 🙂
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1 tbs. Coconut Oil
1/2 tea. onion powder
1/2 tea. garlic powder
1 egg, egg replacement or flax seed (1tbs. flax seed mixed w/ 3 tbs. water)
1 green onion, chopped
sriracha or other hot sauce for topping
Mix your egg or replacement with garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper.
Measure out your panko on a plate.
Heat your coco oil in a large frying pan.
Dip each piece of tofu, on each side, in your egg/replacement batter then immediately into the panko then into the frying pan.
Flip when you see a browned edge on your tofu.
Remove from pan and sprinkle with chopped green onion and sriracha.
